Cartref aims to provide quality of care for each individual resident based on their needs, desires and opinions. The fee covers all care, meals, certain activities and accommodation and includes the regular services of a visiting beautician and a chiropodist. In addition a hairdresser visits each home and for a small charge residents are able to avail themselves of her services.
Regular meetings are held for residents to put forward suggestions on improvements they would like to see, menu ideas etc. A senior member of staff is always on hand to discuss with residents or relatives any individual concerns regarding the wellbeing of a resident.
A visiting minister of religion holds monthly church services at each home. We encourage residents to retain as much of their independence as possible and will support them in choices they make including the desire to attend external church services.
Friends and relatives are encouraged to visit you whenever you want them to and to spend as much time as you like with you.
Cartref is a not-for-profit organisation. The Board of Trustees, all volunteers with professional backgrounds, are resonsible for the overall management of the Charity and meet on a monthly basis.
